| DESIGN NAME: Thankusir Neverland PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: The inspiration comes from the fact that before starting designing, the designer entered the building and saw all of these mottled old walls, which were beautiful. He wanted to keep them and let other design actions set off their beauty. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As a formerly abandoned automotive repair workshop, he designed it into restaurant, bar and cafe. He created a skylight on the building, also installed a ground to ceiling high shelf under the skylight, the shelf is decorated and full of white clay pots.The sunshine from the roof is directly introduced into the ground floor area and basement, so that the dull basement space has more visual and emotional connections with the outside world. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The designer made passages between several independent buildings, and each space was connected to each other. Guests could pass through each space through these passages without having to go outside to transit. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The whole project area is huge, but the renovation budget is quite tight, so they decided to take advantage of the beauty of the building itself, which actually gives them a big unexpected surprise. We have preserved the mottled walls of the building, with The rustic materials such as wood and cement make the whole space more harmonious.
