| DESIGN NAME: Straightforward Journey PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment INSPIRATION: The designer introduced slight relaxed spatial sentiment into the tough styled foundation, the wall between the public and the private spaces are deliberately left blank for visually relaxed spatial atmosphere, while the usage approach of overlapped functionalities creates the flexible life scenes. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Eliminating the commonly seen residential fundamental style in response to the house owners needs, the space is decorated with the straightforward and carefree industrial trend, refining the living sentiment into the exquisite design vocabularies, demonstrating comfortable and leisurable residential looks with precise layout planning, delicate material application together with designers sincere blessings. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For the bedroom, the designer separated the space using a 45-degree line, allowing the room entrance to overlap with the bar seating space, while the 45-degree straight wall is designed as the circulation for the sliding door and the separating wall for the changing room, it is also the television wall for the lounge and the bedroom; due to the 45-degree, the bed is placed slanted, which further allows the rear end with the addition of a 90 cm storage space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer values details for the overall space, hoping to preserve the primitiveness of the materials, which is actualized through nimble fingers. The original ceiling has traces of the building, and in order to get closer to the industrial trend colors, the designer therefore removed the ceiling to keep the buildings original looks. Moreover, the designer replaced the wall with a French window, allowing natural lighting to fill the room through the large window. In order to solve the issue where the bathroom has no window, iron piece door with iron grids on the top and the bottom is designed to block off the unsafe feeling of visual transparency, further allowing space and air to flow, thereby consolidating industrial trends design theme while adding functionality within. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The property is 53 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residential, industrial style , Space, carefree RESEARCH ABSTRACT: For the private space, the bed set is placed according to the original irregular layout to maintain the master bedroom’s spaciousness and functionality; a changing room is further designed, endowing space with neat and organized storage, making good use of each inch of the space completely. Strong colors and sophisticated designs are eliminated, while the carefree and straightforward base tone is applied to bring out the purity of life.
