| DESIGN NAME: Leisurable Light Contrast PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apartment INSPIRATION: The foyer space is small, and woodwork chamfering is applied for the stylish storage to accomplish appropriate cabinet size, capable of containing coats and shoes to enhance the sense of space. There are two bicycles in the living room, as the client does not wish to expose them to the sun at the balcony, thus vertical bicycle racks are used to blend them into the display of the main wall, which then forms the main visual design effect together with the irregular cultured stone of the surface. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This residential space is a new house, but the client was dissatisfied with the indoor layout after the constructor conducted client changes. The kitchen is of closed-style, the master bedroom is small and could not contain the changing room, and therefore reorganized the original partitions to make the space become the residence suitable for the client usage. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The dining room and the kitchen preserved the original ceiling height, separating into another venue through the wood veneer. After removing the partitions, a central island featuring the form of a dining table is arranged at the back of the foyer, keeping the kitchen on the internal side, thereby capable of preventing oil fume leakage even though it is of an open-style. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The living room is connected to the study, have removed the ceiling here due to the low ceiling in order to increase spatial height, while the few exposed pipelines allow this area with a slight industrial trend, the study allowed for consistent style via the use of iron pieces and Sen veneer designed bookshelf, presenting it through a higher quality approach, while the interior features raised floor to separate the small space for the use of musical instrument, allowing for comprehensive functions of the public space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The property is 130 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residential, House, Space, industrial RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The dining room wall features customized storage rack, storing client’s dining ware and kitchenware to form a storage wall enriched in the sense of design. Greyish blue paint is applied to make a color contrast with the study space. CHALLENGE: The corridor space is hidden with folding door storage space, Sycamore veneer is used to blend into the corridor, while the area is capable of containing golf equipment, and wooden surface is used generally to allow for constant spatial color, the light contrast between the greyish blue and wood colors creates a relaxed residential space.
