DESIGN NAME: HSR048 / HSR050 / HSR060
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Industrial Robot
INSPIRATION: Conceived from the structure of the human body, "tension" and "contraction" provide its external form. The lifelike soft exterior removes the sense of intimidation during high-speed movement.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: These are horizontal, multi-joint industrial robots (SCARA robots) with hands mounted on their tips to adapt flexibly to a variety of work. These robots contribute to automation and labor saving in production plants. These are new SCARA robot series models developed by DENSO Wave. They provide top-of-class performance levels in compact body sizes and contribute to reduced equipment size.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This product is settled in a factory, and programed their jobs and works for whole day.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project is started from 2014. The robot is already on sale and still produced.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Since we thought that the influence of inertia could be suppressed by reducing the weight of the tip, we adopted an arm that was powerfully extended from a stable base and became more delicate toward the tip. As a result, stable high-speed operation and design innovation were realized.
In addition, the entire product was constructed with an organic design that resembles the human body so that high-speed operation does not give a sense of intimidation or anxiety to workers working on the production line.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Arm length (1st arm + 2nd arm) 480mm (205mm + 275mm), 550mm (275mm + 275mm), 650mm (375mm + 275mm), maximum payload: 8kg, body weight: 33kg, body height: 488mm (excluding shaft height) , Maximum synthesis speed: 7540mm / s, 8000mm / s, 8850mm / s, Variation: Cleanliness: ISO class 3, Dust and drip-proof performance: IP65

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We researched most of SCARA robots in the world through internet and world wide robot exhibitions. Then we realized that we have to change every legacy structure to make robot faster.
CHALLENGE: The aim was to create the fastest SCARA robot. Initially, however, the expectations of the designer were only to renovate the appearance of the predecessor. I felt that the previous model's structure did not embody the fastest spec, so I proposed an ideal form of the SCARA robot including a renovation of the whole structure first.
