DESIGN NAME: Schwarzwald Recipe
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bakery
INSPIRATION: The design was inspired by both romantic fairy tale and concise impressions of Germany. Two wooden cabins filled with breads were located in the Black Forest, Schwarzwald while the iconic Bauhaus textured chairs around with red berry like lights hanging above. The timber frame pattern of traditional German houses were converted into the store facade, and the steel framing shelves. The designer put all the rest in dark representing Black Forest from where the secret recipe of this gorgeous German cuisines were originated.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This German Bakery is located in a residential and commercial mixed-use district of Taipei City. It is one of the food brands established by the Taiwanese lady, who was married to a German man and lived in Black Forest area in Germany for many years. Her food brands have been approved by many gourmets as one of the most authentic German food in Taipei.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Bakery has become a popular spot for people's daily life in the neighborhood. People come here for coffee and bread in the morning while others come for a special traditional German meal at lunch or dinner. Customers enjoy the cozy little wood cabins filled with German aroma very much.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2017 and finished in July 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Steel, solid wood moldings, wood veneer sheets, black mirrors, vinyl, tiles.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The site is located on the first floor of a mixed-use building in Taipei City. It has the area of 120 square meters excluding the kitchen part, and a nearly square proportion of about 11-meter by 11-meter.
