| DESIGN NAME: Fllipping Hanger And Art Decor PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coat Hangers INSPIRATION: The designer always aimed to add more nature feeling indoor. Closet is a furniture that the designer tried to redefine. Most of the closet is so big, and it's just a big box people tried to fix in the room. This time, he tried to create some beauty and fun wall decoration at home, save space in the room and save time to arrange cloth. It is a new "closet" that people can show the taste with or without any clothes on it. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project opened out shows clothes for easy accessibility that are hung in matching sets ready to go while saving space when folded to the wall as art decor. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Bringing nature into the home, this project is designed for places such as lobbies, entrance ways, bedrooms, kids rooms even gardens. These leaves with relaxing shades of green can be flipped open and closed to serve as hangers for clothes, sports equipment, umbrellas, raincoats or hats and gardening tools. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer choose to use solid wood to show the product quality and he designed the structure with wood and glue only for echo friendly concern. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 56cm x Depth 15cm x Height 110cm TAGS: coat hangers, innovative design, wall deco, fashion furniture, cool design furniture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design research started from prototyping and go through all the issue fixing by personal using experimentation. The designer survey among 30 sales from furniture shops and decided to make the hole sets hang on the wall. It was for saving space request and joyful using experience. CHALLENGE: Space saving is a serious issue in Asia, especially cities like Tokyo and Taipei. People is fitting to live in narrow space. Noticing this problem, the designer fallow the Asian trend of living simple life, the project was born to tide up cloth and show personal taste at the same time.
