| DESIGN NAME: Longshan Library PRIMARY FUNCTION: Library INSPIRATION: Just like a city with its spiritual landmarks, a library is regarded as a spiritual world which houses books of wisdom and gathers people with dreams. Therefore, the designer designed a library in the sales center and created a city of books, which reflects the spiritual pursuit of local people in every detail. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The quality of the space is embodied in the profiles, the details and the interfaces. Daily dynamic elements and artistic articles well decorate the space together with the green pine, contributing to a space characterized by simple elegance and modern aesthetics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Space experience begins at the first sight. Thus, the designer, from the perspective of a mini spiritual world, has defined the space with design and art, creating a space experience which encourages visual interaction and spiritual communication. When the sale ends, the sales center will be turned into the community library which is rooted in daily life to satisfy their spiritual demands. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The 9-meter-high building model area is decorated with 2,000 crystal birds in the air, looking like the rolling mountains or the soft clouds, which highlight the beauty of proportion and the vitality of the space. A sunken reading space is created with more than 10,000 books to satisfy readers of different ages. It allows people to immerse themselves in the world of knowledge. Simple, elegant and exquisite decorations define a quiet and warm space, which encourages people to explore the spiritual world and reflect on their lives. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project Area: 1386 square meters TAGS: Zhou Wei, Win-Win Design, Library Design, Modern Art RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Located in Fogang County, Qingyuan, Guangdong, Longshan Library is well developed by Sunac Group. Since local people have already led a happy and contented life, the challenge for the designer is how to create a space in the way of creating a city and integrate it into the life of local people. CHALLENGE: The project needs to combine the sales center with the library in the way of creating a city, providing a high quality and practical space for experiences and activities. When the sale ends, the sales center will be turned into the community library which is rooted in daily life to satisfy their spiritual demands.
