| DESIGN NAME: Together and Relax PRIMARY FUNCTION: Retirement Residence INSPIRATION: The feeling of line is the inspiration of this design. From the screen with wood grain in entrance to asymmetrical collage with stone on TV wall. It creates the sense of ink painting. Then the wood grain lead through the floor of dinner hall and bar to the ceiling and floor in Japanese-style room. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Home is a space that family get together and relax. Let the sense of 'together' strong in this design. It makes public area combine through design and uses ceiling divide every space. From living room, dinner hall, bar to Japanese-style room, the dwellers share the space and interactive each other to get together with family.Relax is another theme to make family comfortable. It uses simple line and color let dwellers feel relax in every space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The designer discusses with homeowners to understand their habits and what kinds of the arts they love. Then the designer corrects every sight to let it feel harmonious. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Start August 2018 in Taichung. Finish January 2019 in Taichung. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Japanese-style room combine traditional and modern style. It uses different color cushion to replace Tatami. It applies folding door and sliding door to increase the functions of space to make people relax. The back wall takes materials and light to let the showpiece be the focus of sight. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 110 Square meter TAGS: Interior design, Modern Zen style, Guest house, Japanese-style room, Black White, Guild hall, Vacation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Explore the space of display and function how to influence behavior and psychology. The designer layout moving line, storage, main wall and the place of display to create the sense of space with light. CHALLENGE: Use different materials and colors need to consider reasonable and consistency. The principle of simple and wonderful to make every space unique.
