| DESIGN NAME: Foglia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bathroom Collection INSPIRATION: Foglia inspired by thin, subtle concave surfaces that celebrate water instead of containing it inside a volume. Foglia shapes are gentle, curved, organic. Reflecting nature in every detail, Foglia provides a perfect harmony with water… Foglia, whose every detail is carefully considered from design to production for the protection of nature and transfer of life resources to future generations, shows its respect for the source of inspiration with the use of less and natural materials. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Foglia washbasins curve to follow their connection to the wall. They are available in many shapes, round and rectangular, some of them could be placed on a matching countertop. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Backed washbasins were subjected to a special process during the mold stage. While the products were in the form of wet biscuits, they were taken from the mold without touching them and their thin bands were not damaged. Also, to prevent distortion of the 90-degree angle between the base and the back wall in the stages of the product until it reaches the kiln, the semi-finished washbasins were made into semi-finished products by applying an undercoat to the thin bands before the glazing process. 90 degrees between the base and the back wall were preserved with the special firing apparatus prepared in the oven firing of the backed washbasin.
