| DESIGN NAME: Taisi PRIMARY FUNCTION: Personal Residence INSPIRATION: This inspiration comes from Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine. Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine is situated on Hutou Mountain in Taoyuan City; it was completed in 1938 and was formerly the "Taoyuan Shinto Shrine" back during the Japanese colonial era. The architectural style encompasses the old ways of the ancient Chinese Tang dynasty, Japanese style, and contemporary Taiwanese style, it breathes a serene atmosphere and symbolizes the martyrs' lofty sentiments and aspirations. which even more emphasizes its solemn and stately character. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a private residence in downtown Taoyuan for one entrepreneurial couple, using log material, special cement and bricks from Toki , Gifu Prefecture, Japan to create a vintage and tranquil environment and show noble entrepreneurial ambition. In addition to providing an excellent lifestyle, the whole space can also be used as a meeting place. In our vision, the place can serve as a meeting place for business and partying place for friends and family. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In our vision, the place can serve as a meeting place for business and partying place for friends and family. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Rain tree, Taiwan Cypress, lotos plaster, bricks from toki city gifu prefecture, Japan, Tatami SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 83 square meters with Height 2.6m. TAGS: Tatami，Wood，Bric RESEARCH ABSTRACT: An open traffic flow; we combined the design techniques of various materials to further uncover the texture of wood grain and wall through the light and shadow of the window, thereby providing space brightness and roominess. CHALLENGE: The hostess hoped to have a functional kitchen that can be both opened and closed. Therefore, the kitchen is designed to create a vintage and peaceful atmosphere. The height of the house presented a great challenge for us because the structure forms several conflict zones; however, we ensured to maintain the space in a relaxed and comfortable way by constructing close to the floor.
