| DESIGN NAME: Strolling PRIMARY FUNCTION: House INSPIRATION: Nature is the main axis of the design. The design includes three different spaces :garden and public space in ground floor and personal bedroom in first floor. The design need to think about the relationship between people in space and in nature. The project is telling the difference between nature and people which they play a role in each space. Through the specific expressions of scale, shape, material and shadow, people can feel the thick, light, bright when they walking or lying in nature. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design is trying to find the relationship between space and environment, thus they called Find In Between. 1/3 courtyard with 1/3 public space and 1/3 private space. The house is in suburb which has a natural and greenish courtyard. Through their intent concept and using diversity material, they try to communicated with nature to find an appropriate image can illustrate Nature. By using scale,form,material and shadow,people can feel thick,light,bright and deep when they are walking or seating in the house to enjoy a quiet and coziness space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2018 and finished in October 2018 in Taipei. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In order to express the status between public of ground floor and the privacy of first floor, the designer chose two different materials to present both of them have difference via in materials. The lower half stairs used marble to present rocks,original and wilderness while the upper part illustrated light and penetrate which shows obvious difference and contrast. The stairs used suspension system to replace load bearing system or cantilever system which was also a challenge for designer. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Ground floor : 115 square meters. First floor : 115 square meters. Garden : 115 square meters. TAGS: Strolling, Communicate, Nature, Relationship RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The stairs was also a challenge for designer on structure system. The thickness of U-shaped steel plate is 9 millimeter, the longest suspension element of these has 5.3 meters. Handrail increased the stability and safety, it through many tests to find appropriate location. NAME: Mojian Design PROFILE: The name comes from Chinese word combination. Mo is the ink in Chinese, it also means one of method that creates project by using drawing or writing. Jian represents the steam in the valley, it is also a status that illustrate eternal. All in all, it shows all of pure inspiration in this studio always be created by hands and it will sustain forever. |
