| DESIGN NAME: Donde Cloud Valley PRIMARY FUNCTION: Demonstration Area INSPIRATION: Inspired by the noble image of deer, who is an animal full of reiki in human impression; the deer themed installations are used to welcome visitors. These sculptures are the important part of space memory. The irregular cut surface combined with the reflective mirror material makes these elves the finishing touch of the whole space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Adhering to the integrated design of landscape and architecture, the building form and volume have been maximized. The building is both a place for social interaction and a landscape itself, completely abandoning the monotony of traditional landscape logic. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design theme is life in the future. It is a space that people can embrace nature, where there are fresh air, sunshine, green trees and blue skies, while at the same time with omnipresent feeling of architecture and landscape. It is world where all of these are interweaving together without any restrictions. This design concept comes from the design philosophy of architectural landscape integration, which can grow constantly, but can not be copied. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is completed in 2018 in Wuhan, China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In order to achieve the classic modernist style, the designers built a clear geometric volume and together with the surrounding buildings to form a gate of art. The building also provided a solid urban image for the surrounding residential areas, thus defining a new public art space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: On the basis of architecture, the designers explored different layouts, which made the building's volume show differently at different angles: it is sometimes grand, sometimes exquisite, sometimes as if extended to beyond sight, thus being fascinating. TAGS: landscape, building, design, residential, commercial, installation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is located in the High-tech Zone of East Lake District, Wuhan, China, which is among the first batch of state-level high-tech zones approved by the government. It has an extraordinary strategic significance. CHALLENGE: As the landscape elements in the project, even if the volume is quite small, it needs to have a high recognition and integrate into the whole site. This is the essence of the logic of designing a small landscape. What's more, the landscape has further increased the possibility of light and shadow changes in the building.
