| DESIGN NAME: Shimao Loong Palace PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential landscape INSPIRATION: Shimao Loong Palace draws on the landscape painting Fairyland of Peach Blossoms by the painter Qiu Ying in the Ming Dynasty for the landscape context and spatial logic of the whole garden area and bases its creation on the prototype of the assorted-style gardens of the Yuanmingyuan Imperial Garden UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Located in the northwest of Haidian District, Beijing and along the south bank of Shangzhuang Reservoir, Shimao Loong Palace covers a landscape area of about 17,000 square meters This project follows the ideological vein of the classical gardens, and combines the classical natural landscape gardens with the classical royal garden through the expression of the two design concepts of the royal garden and the southern gardens OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Considering the geographical environment of Loong Palace, the charm of traditional Chinese classical gardens was established at the beginning of the design, combining with modern design techniques. In each specific design node, we look for the conjunction point from the classical garden, and then refine and deduce it with modern techniques, so as to form the final design plan. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2016 in Haidian distinct,Beijing,China and finished in July 2018. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: VR Technical Reference:Two dimensional drawings can not show the full angle of view , represent the design clearly. By using VR technology to restore the construction drawings completely, drawings problems can be found intuitively in the virtual scene, which can improve the efficiency and quality of examination and avoid a large number of ineffective rework on site caused by traditional examination methods. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: It covers a landscape area of about 17,000 square meters (the 340 square meters deluxe courtyard covers a landscape area of 533 square meters , and the 620 square meters deluxe courtyard covers a landscape area of 1230 square meters ). TAGS: Villa, Cultural, Poetic, Royal, Classical RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Considering that the project of Loong Palace is located at the junction of the Three Hills and Five Gardens and the North Court of the Palace Museum. Based on the Yuanmingyuan, Loong Palace creates a unique landscape pattern of One boundary, Three gardens to realize the ideal living environment for modern people. Adhering to the product proposition of Cultural relics begets all things of the world, we hope the long Palace becomes a humanistic field carrying Chinese culture and spirit. CHALLENGE: Market prefer Neo-Chinese style, how can we make it unique and special?Different from other single Neo-Chinese style method, the project combines the Northern Royal Garden and the Southern Private Garden, which not only has the grandeur of the Northern Garden, but also has the gracefulness and delicacy of the Southern Private Garden.
