RESEARCH ABSTRACT: -
CHALLENGE: Avoiding too much design, we brought natural environment into interior so that you can feel inside and outside at the same time and maximize its rich nature. Visitors can see the local craftmanship through furniture, signs, fabrics and artworks. Miyako origin materials are also used in this hotel such as flower blocks for exterior façade, Ryukyu limestone for reception counter, and kuba artworks made by local artist. Some Miyako crafts and materials are reinterpreted with modern design and produced as souvenirs and amenities.
