PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The color white is the primary color used in this design, as the color has the properties to reflect all wavelengths of light to allow the space to appear larger. Large pieces of white marbles were the selected material for the entrance and the bathroom, while PANDOMO, a modern surfacing material technology, provides the space with seamless flooring. Wood patterns of the cabinets are painted in white, while graciously mixed with glimpses of black, to create unique visual toning. The color blue is used on the kitchen cabinets for color embellishments, creating a robust yet visually soothing environment.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Due to the housing bubble in Taipei, Taiwan, home prices have skyrocketed to a near unrealistic level, prices which the public, including the millennials, are unable to afford. Left with significantly smaller-sized apartments, such as microflats, traditional interior design method (designing the interior by allocating specific area with a specific purpose) is not viable. This consequentially gave the genesis of the interior space sharing design, in which spaces are interconnected with one another and different usage applications can be flexibly accommodated.
CHALLENGE: The choice of lofting and material application is the most difficult, because every size of the small space should be cherished.
