| DESIGN NAME: House Of Light PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: In a congested land space in Singapore, it has dramatically focus houses to be built vertically and emphasize effective spaces. House of Light introduces a flavour of coherence, pairing with light space and lights attitude. Light space composes line proportion that delusional recreate the living and dining together. An angular line was manifested into these 2 zone that breaks away the original site layout. Series of levitate plank was intervene to greatly emphasise simplicity through geometry. Lights attitude conforms layer of Light strip bonded together exploring a small area into a big space; circulating at the perimeter of the house, offering aesthetic visual impact. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Relationship, communication and language became part of the interaction of this house. For instance; a refashion bunk bed that keeps the kids entertained yet function. Steps that become a storage, graphic wall that sweeten their mood and of course a slide which connects their sibling relationship together. The conclusion was to cultivate a well-balance place where the kids love the most. With a typical bedroom layout, segregation was introduced to distinguish a walk in wardrobe and sleeping space. This space was also humbly created with a platform that harmonise owner lifestyle. A black theme was committed that scatter around the room to give an attitude in it. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: A tree house scale was casted within the living and dining area. Subconsciously to cultivate a functional divider for owner to enjoy the openness and privacy. A grey neutral colour was implemented to enable the overall material to strike an attention and blue accent was slowly invaded into a main wall, so as to refresh the overall mood. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1400 sqft TAGS: Lightness, Levitate, Openness RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The lightness of the house and the lights within the house is radical challenge that we need to deal with it. The overall concept was to contrive a levitate effect and by doing so, a presentable lights source is humbly rebrand the entire space. It is always easy to project lights on the ceiling, however it is not the physical appearance we would want to achieve.
