| DESIGN NAME: GreeneryPann PRIMARY FUNCTION: Green interior panel INSPIRATION: Nowadays, indoor air pollution caused by artificial materials is quite high. this situation adversely affects the health of users. GreeneryPann is designed to address this problem with practical and aesthetic design features. GreeneryPann is designed with inspiration from the cycle of nature. Perfect balance and harmony in nature has been tried to be transferred to design. The organic form of nature constitutes the main structure of design decisions. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: GreeneryPann can be designed different dimensions according to user's need because of has a modular structure. It has the function of dividing the space by showing flexibility with respect to the properties of the space it is used. The user can easily change the modules of the GreeneryPann, and in this respect, the design provides flexibility of use. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Thanks to the main water circulation system designed around the panels, the plants in the panels can reach the water in a practical way from the distribution pipes and the excess water is delivered from the bottom of the panels to the main collector pipe. Plants that reduce indoor air pollution are used in GreeneryPann to prevent air pollution caused by artificial material emerged in the interior. GreeneryPann is easy to manufacture. Similarly, the assembly is done in a very practical way in terms of its modular system. It also has the flexibility to be used in all interior spaces. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Corian material will be shaped by mold method. NAME: GreeneryPann PROFILE: Nazlı Nazende Yıldırım, the designer of the GreeneryPann, is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Atılım University, Ankara, Turkey. She holds a Ph.D. in interior architecture and environmental design from Hacettepe University, 2015, an Ms in interior architecture from Çankaya University, 2011, and a Bs (cum laude) in interior architecture from Çankaya University, 2009. She teaches interior design, furniture design, introduction to interior architecture, wet place design, design for the disabled and interior design of commercial buildings. Her research interests are the interior architecture/design, shopwindow design, store design, universal design, indoor air pollution and interior landscape. She was visiting as a guest lecturer at Politecnico Di Bari, Italy and Escuela de Arte Oviedo, Spain. She won A' Design Award at street furniture design category in Italy, 2017. Her works have been published in the Turkish Journal of Social Research, International Association of Social Science Research, International Journal of Environmental Science, Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences and Sanat Yazıları. She is a member of the Chamber of Interior Architects of Turkey and the International Association of Designers. |
