| DESIGN NAME: DecoMetal Laminate PRIMARY FUNCTION: Surfacing Material INSPIRATION: Oxibronze was inspired by nature's living metals and features an organic fluid effect emulating a metallic woodgrain. Our global design team worked with architects and designers around the country to learn what metals piqued their interest most. We wanted to come up with a design that was diverse in its look and could be used in a variety of spaces. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: DecoMetal® Laminate by Formica Corporation adds flair to a variety of surfaces from walls, furniture, and retail fixtures to signage, exhibits, and displays. The Oxibronze design features a striking metallic look that is hand-finished to ensure each sheet has a unique and uniform patina. It is a beautiful addition to the existing DecoMetal® Laminate line. Oxibronze is unique for not only being beautiful, but being easy to clean and fire resistant. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Perfect for adding flair to vertical applications including walls, furniture, retail fixtures, signage, exhibits and displays, DecoMetal® Laminate in the Oxibronze pattern is easy to clean and fire resistant. These features make the material both durable and safe. For architects and designers, this provides peace of mind knowing that their carefully curated spaces are in good hands when choosing DecoMetal® Laminate. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Global Design team of Formica Corporation worked with architects and designers around the country to learn what piqued their interest from a metals perspective. This feedback, in addition to what the team captured at global events, formed the basis of the 2018 launch of six new DecoMetal Laminate options, which were the clear winners selected from 50 prototypes. Oxibronze is designed and hand-finished using a layered process of polishing, staining and repolishing real brass foil to ensure each sheet has a unique and uniform patina. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Two sheets available: 1,219.2 mm by 2,438.4 mm and 1,219.2 mm by 3,048 mm.
