| DESIGN NAME: DDS PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition INSPIRATION: 1.DDS (DESIGN DREAM SHOW) is a cluster exhibition leads the design trend in furniture industry. 23 exhibitors took part in the event this year. 2. The production and using of furniture connected closely with the natural environment of material circulation, Different combinations of furniture create different artificial nature such as "cliff", "forest" and "hill". It alerts people to pay attention to the relationship between furniture industry chain and the whole environment. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 1 Vertical furniture frame is used in the forest space, with splints together form a semi-transparent dense forest space. You can explore the exhibition space hides behind the forest path. 2 The hill space is a multifunctional communication space constructed with symbolic chairs where you can negotiate, rest, selfie, meet people, hold activitiesand interact with the exhibition space of other exhibitors behind the surrounding arcades OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Three themed "natural spaces" formed with furniture,. In the first space-furniture cliffabandoned furniture is combined with multimedia to show the exploration in furniture design ."Forests" formed by framework of abandoned furniture and splints in the second space suggested the exploration in the pursuit of goals. In the third space, hill of chairs and the arch doors surrounded form a multi-functional art social square which implies communication on furniture design. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1 Study and solve the contradiction between exhibitor's individuality and the theme of the exhibition in cluster exhibition, more specifically, to design a form of space organization which not only ensure visual artistry, consistency and integrity of the public area of the exhibition area, but also show the exhibiting brands' individuality. 2 3Dmapping technology of Large physical object and multi-projector fusion technology 3 Recycling waste furniture to form large furniture walls SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: category: exhibition hall area: 2000 sqm TAGS: cilff, forest, hill, theme space, vision control, translucence, element extension, 3Dmapping, waste reuse RESEARCH ABSTRACT: DDS (DESIGN DREAM SHOW) is a cluster exhibition leads the design trend in furniture industry. 23 exhibitors took part in the event this year. CHALLENGE: 1 We design a large 3Dmapping wall and build it in a short time. 2 Many experiments about the density of woods in the forest space were conducted. So as to find a balance between individuality of exhibitors and image of the exhibition. 3 The shape of the chair hill requires repeated deliberation, and need to take into consideration of the manner and scale of various social activities that might be held on the square.
