| DESIGN NAME: Atlasbalans M1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fascia Treatment Tool INSPIRATION: The front cone is designed for easy exchangeability between different depths and vibration characteristics, which are indicated by the exchangeable rings. Intentionally heavy, it assists the therapist in applying pressure through its weight and dampening the recoil and direction of the vibrations. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Designed as an extended hand, the powerful M1 brings a new level of professionalism to manual treatment. Based on the latest anatomical research, M1 is optimized for advanced and powerful fascia treatment. Used by professional therapists to ease back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, muscle tension and much more. Waves are spread widely and deeply throughout the body increasing mobility and relaxation; as well as improving flow and circulation. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The M1 is built as a solid metal object, in order to direct the vibrations downwards. It is intentionally heavy, to assist the therapist in applying pressure through its weight and dampening the recoil and direction of the vibrations. The newly developed M1 for Atlasbalans has been optimized for connectivity (IoT). Through the mobile battery pack the unit communicates with other devices, primarily tablets, where treatment information and customized sequences can be stored. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project has been carried out during 2017 and in 2018 and was introduced on the market in Europe and US in 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Front cone is machined steel. The body is cast anodized aluminum, housing the tight transmission and special designed and unique internal mechanics. The unit comes in different wavelengths, light, medium and deep, and could modularily be altered depending on purpose and body type treated. The exchangeable tips have a metal core and silicon outer shape. The product comes with several different tips depending on treatment scenario. A separate power source with controls allows the tool to be as small and ergonomic as possible. Atlasbalans and Frank Etc. work in close cooperation regarding function, design and brand. CHALLENGE: Since weight of the tool is of great importance for effective treatment, careful consideration has to be put in ergonomics for both the therapist and the treated individual.
