| DESIGN NAME: Gelin Mansion PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Office INSPIRATION: The project integrates the design elements of modern, oriental culture, nature and art, giving the whole space a long-lasting detachment and the beauty beyond the time, which also echoes with the profound Chinese culture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The spatial layout is quite feasible. As to the interior design, the project takes a good advantage of the penetration characteristic of straight lines as well as the unique beauty of the curves to achieve the spatial balance, while the interior decoration uses color and dedicated materials to bring the whole project into life, creating an elegant atmosphere which both agrees with the aesthetic of people today and keeps the charm of oriental culture. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The sales office is designed for helping customers to know better and deeper about the newly constructed buildings and houses. They will see the overall construction plan of the buildings here and can get in touch with sales managers if they have any questions and can make the purchase of houses here. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is located in Yingde City, Guangdong Province, China. It takes about 45 days for the design and about 3 months to finish the construction. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This project uses special materials such as mountain-pattern marble and ice-white marble. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project covers an area of 624 square meter. TAGS: modern, oriental culture, nature, art, marble, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: It is important to have an overall understanding about the culture and characteristics of the location of the project so as to make a good design. Therefore, Yingde City, located in Guangdong Province, is known for its natural scene and its simple lifestyle. Designers specially use materials to highlight this characteristic. CHALLENGE: Since there are two floors, one of the challenges in this project is the design of the stairs. There are some requirements for the position, utilization and exterior design of it. Therefore, it is important to find a suitable position where the stairs will not affect the spatial layout of the whole design.
