PRIMARY FUNCTION: Transparent Rollable Keyboard
INSPIRATION: The idea is inspired by the Milky Way in the sky. FK's touch sensor is very transparent, just like the sky.When you pulling out the touch sensor, it is like the galaxy that hanging in the air, which it is smooth and natural. When you tapping words, each word is like a star that flashing in the air. Users use flexible keyboard product is not only can feel the charming and caring brought by technology,also can be relaxed under the stars.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This keyboard uses a special film which contains a hidden circuit.It has a transparency of 92% and a thickness of only 0.04 mm. It stretches and curls many times without deformation and is very tough. It can not be easily damaged.
It has a metal casing and is full of technology. Because the film passes through the motor, it can automatically be rolled up to a extremely small size.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. Pull up keyboard by hand,
2. Long press button to power on,
3. Connect to mobile device by Bluetooth,
4. Double press to power off and automatically roll up.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The layer of material is divided into 3 layers. The middle layer is the special transparent circuit layer that can be bent and deformed. Commands are given by touching the difference in capacitance of different areas by hand.
The material used is required to be crimped 10,000 times without deformation. The material should not tilt up and the ink not fall off after stretching. Finally, the best thickness is proved to be 0.04 mm.
A trade-off is made between the motor selection and the weight of the draw-bar for rolling up. The shape of the draw bar needs to be rounded. The gap of draw bar storage should as small as possible, and the end of the storage will not get stuck. Therefore, the drawing rod of the storage is circular shape.
CHALLENGE: This roll-able keyboard with flexible sensor is totally new in keyboard field, whose appearance and interaction needs to be redefined.
The size of the rolled up keyboard is close to a Parker pen. Rolling up must be achieved by motors, batteries, circuit boards, etc., which have great challenges.
We use a roll-able transparent film with a thickness of only 0.04 mm. The choice of thickness and toughness of transparent materials has been tested and verified numerous times.
The appearance is unique and iconic. It not only reflects the characteristics of Royole's new technology, but also perfectly integrates into the environment of mobile office.
