DESIGN NAME: Long Gully Grove
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Olive Oil Branding
INSPIRATION: Our Grove is nestled on the banks of the Blackwood River in the historic region of Nannup, South West Australia. Grown naturally in ideal soil conditions our olives are handpicked at their peak ripeness and cold pressed in a single pressing to produce the best quality extra virgin olive oil. The oil is 100% natural, rich in flavour and high in natural anti-oxidants. Olive tree varieties have been carefully selected to best suit our soil and climatic conditions.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The icon represents the olive grove and where the olives are grown, which is on the banks of the Blackwood river, with seven trees to represent the different types of olives used.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The new icon and label elevates the products brand appearance to its buyers.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Initial briefing started in mid January 2018 and final label design was printed mid March 2018.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research for the idea was carried out on the location of the grove where the oil was produced. This was the banks of the Blackwood river. Using google maps for detailing the rivers path and location as well as the groves position too. Then comparing this to the sunset and sunrise locations, that enabled the development and idea behind the icon, including 7 tree icons for the 7 varieties of olives used.
CHALLENGE: Biggest challenge was retelling the clients story in a brand and visual representation.
