The concept behind Poker was originally inspired by a small mountain hut which cannot be found easily with time flowing slowly in Europe. The overall design scheme holds a warm and subtle touches of contemporary style.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Following on from the success of 298 Nikuya Kitchen T.S.T, they wanted to launch their new dining, Porker (which is a concept bar to enjoy the aged pork dishes, it is mainly Japanese pork cutlet, with a drink) in Central, Hong Kong. It is a new business of Studio C8 long standing client and we were delighted to be asked to help design their sister brand.

A special feature is the wall decoration, which has been selected a characteristic wall covering to put an imagination into the space (it is reflected on the wordplay of porker and poker).

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
-

CHALLENGE:
The site of Porker was a narrow and long shape. It was a hard work to draw the interior layout plan of Porker. The designer applied the simple and functional interior plan into the space, and at the same time they put the minimum width of the circulation pathway to secure a table and to create a bustle when the place would be crowded with customer. Consequently, the design team changed the disadvantages to advantages.
