| DESIGN NAME: Dreams Come True PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Space INSPIRATION: The house owner is a couple who engaged in tourism industry and had traveled all over the world. However, wherever you go and how far you travel, home is the final destination that is the most desirable place you want to live in and the warmest location you belong to. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Under the expectation of client, design team uses an open and smooth decoration to set the boundaries of the public space, private space, and a buffer zone to integrate each space smoothly; designer even adopts a great scope of the bright camel color, and partial scopes of rich purple, royal blue, tan, and dark green colors to symbolize the spatial characters of the personal exclusive space or of all family members. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The extreme tolerance of belonging of home is the key points of the atmosphere setting of the project. Firstly, designer adopts the decoration of see through compartment with the green land, and to have a complete window contour for casting the light and scenery into the inner space; the less painting and decoration, combining with the customized wood function hardware, are to make a clear and fresh space contour. One of the highlights is the design of elevated couch, the wood flooring and the floor tiles make a difference at each field, which the couch area can be a traditional Japanese tea tasting room, or a guest space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Designer just make a little change for the entrance of the boys room, which it provides more space for storage and modeling wall in the vestibule. Along the high cabinet with a 90 degree transition; the grille elements at the left side maintains the dynamic change of vision; one side of the screen wall becomes a display place for lots of pokers the client carried back from touring. The display frame in the dining room has the same function, which is not just the combined location of distribution box, but also integrates with natural decoration for the aforementioned necessary facilities and the entrance of guest bathroom. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The indoor area is approximately 370 square feets. TAGS: see through compartment, wood function hardware, South of France style, combined material RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The used materials include all wood decoration, iron ware, paint, tawny glass, the High Pressure Laminate in the material of imitation stone, and the wood flooring. By all the material which designer picked, the project greatly upgrade an exquisite and delicate user experience. Also, the practicality of living space is considered so the healthy painting was adopted for the coating of walls. The bright and lively color of paint is to symbolize the spatial character, to be easily replaced in accordance with the change of furniture in the future, and to avoid the harmful smell of adhesives volatile. CHALLENGE: In the process of planning, the owner offered a great deal of trust and authority to our design team, which all the trouble on the decoration was fixed easily. For example, as the public space is a broader area, which the girder and side beam in the middle area made a quite vision pressure for people standing right there. However, through the light casting into the inner space and the separated ceiling design of linear return airway, the space has a rich gradation of decoration in vision. It not just solves the problem of these outstanding beams, but also makes more specific character of each unit in this space.
