DESIGN NAME:
Promise Ring
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Vertex Supplements Packaging
INSPIRATION:
Pouch type supplements in many cases are hung on hooks when put on display. Here, we placed a 3D ring motif at the top of the package to make it appear that both the supplement package and the ring are hung on the hook to create an impressive, premium appearance.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
There are four types of supplements: Vertex Supplements is a high-quality, premium supplement that is formulated to match the Japanese constitution, "Creatine Next" enhances the training level, "Recovery" facilitates recovery from fatigue, "Activation" creates a beautiful body by activating the cells, and "Burning" assists in burning fat.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Just as the ring in the Vertex Supplements package design is called a "Promise Ring", we promise the supplements will assist in transforming the current you into the ideal you of the future and thus expresses Vertex's promise of quality and corporate vision to consumers.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in October 2018 in Japan and finished in January 2019 in Japan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
To effectively present the ring, only the ring portion is removed from the white plate printing area to expose the package material mirror-finish silver. This effect reflects the various lights from the surrounding environment and lighting to create a unique coloring and create an effect that causes a singularly beautiful ring to appear.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
A great number of pouch type supplements are sold in Japan, so it is very difficult to achieve differentiation through package design.
CHALLENGE:
We focused on the how the package is displayed in the store to successfully create a completely new concept design.
