| DESIGN NAME: CPR Penthouse PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apartment INSPIRATION: The main inspiration was the view and the openness of the property as positives on one side and the various functional and spatial problems to be solved as a challenge on the other. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The apartment is situated on the top two floors of the new building and due to this has some issues as a result of the local building regulations about terraced levels - inconvenient structural elements, vertical communications, improper space arrangement and areas with very low sloped roof. Despite these disadvantages the apartment is very bright, has beautiful panoramic views and OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This project is designed in order its inhabitants to have the best possible home, relax and family interaction experience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2016 in Sofia and finished in June 2018 in Sofia FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Half of the daytime area is covered in grey painted furniture panels and integrated furniture, in order to define and divide the space. The other half is bright and cozy - wooden parquet, accent lighting. In the bedrooms are used more soft and cozy materials, such as fabrics and wood on walls. In the bathroom, specific plywood ceiling is at the same time decorative and functional element. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 144 sq.m. TAGS: contemporary, cozy, open, balanced, functional RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Besides the various functional analysis, we developed every element in detail, in order to match the overall perception of the space and to emphasize the unity. CHALLENGE: Solving the spatial and the functional problems of an already built space was among the greatest obstacles in his project.
