| DESIGN NAME: Miniature PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: Making a flowing field in tune with natural rhythm introduces the landscape into the confined box. The microcosm of the universe is condensed into the ephemeral landscape. Beyond the appearance is the shelter that harbored the mind. The slow quietness gradually transformed into simplicity, permeating into the five senses of the perceptional phases. Everything is connected through echoes and pulses. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Slow, quiet, elegant, simple, and loose. The design threads together the inside and outside. The citation and accumulation of natural materials scatter around the space. The natural scenes of the tree ring on the living room wall echoes the view of the craggy Japanese white pines outside the French window. The tripartite space integrates with nature through the purposeful ambiguity. The opening and enclosure of the bedroom space imitate natural breathing of the changing seasons. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For the house owner desired to have a frank and open living environment, the residence, of this interior design plan, has the balcony with the great view to the outdoor scenery. The designer appealed to the exclusive open layouts, which are applicable to the living and dining rooms, bedroom, etc. The delicate study room with the elevated floor figuratively resembles the washitsu that fills the indoor space with the charms of nature and imagination. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The juxtaposition of hardness in stone, metal, reflective darkness and the softness in wood, textile, yellow and greenery weave into the counterpoints of dynamism and stillness. The strength and softness merge into a meditative space of domestic living. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: An area of space is 193 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residence, Tainan, Nature, senses RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The rhythm and colors of warmth and coolness permeate and interpenetrate one another. The balancing concepts of ying and yang divide the appropriate proportions. CHALLENGE: The design styles cordially merging the cunning, balmy, fashion and natural elements remarkably show to the world both pragmatic and aesthetic design work.
