| DESIGN NAME: Elite Years PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The owner is a young couple, preparing for the birth of their second child. They hope that their children can live and grow heartily in the space. Therefore, the design is set of leisure style, and the open space plan makes the interior more open, allowing the children to run, play games, and have enough space to explore and think about their future life plans. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the small house, the partition wall is abandoned to make a unobstructed public area. The main bedroom is located behind the public area and is arranged by raised wooden floors. The elastic curtain design can define the fields according to the needs of the owner. The white-tone, oil material and wood bark are environmentally friendly. The storage cabinets are set in the entryway, TV wall and dining table to meet the practical needs of daily life. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Discarding the partition wall, and letting the space open, the dining table and chairs are placed in the center of the space, which is the dining area, as well as the office and reading area, and convenient to pay attention to the children. In the elevated bedroom space, the public and private areas are defined by elastic curtains. After the curtain fully pulls up, the public and private areas are integrated, the vision is more open, and the interaction and dialogue with family members are smoother. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Using the level difference of the floor to create the function and life imagination, the public and private areas have been clearly defined. In order to give full play to the most realistic characteristics of the material, the wall is covered with soil material and matched with the warm wood cabinet and dining table and chairs, showing the fresh and simple feeling. To extend the mountain view outside the window to the indoor, and with the idea that the second child’s birth makes the family more complete, it cuts the headboard of wooden bed to the oblique angle for the metaphorical meaning of shape of the mountain. When the internal LED light bar lights up, it looks like the sunrise, and also symbolizes the beautiful stage of child growth. In order to create the high degree of storage in the limited space, the children's bicycles and toys could be placed under the suspended cabinets in the entryway; the TV wall is combined with the hanging electrical cabinets, and the decoration can also be placed on the cabinet; the electrical appliances and baby products are properly stored in the storage cabinet beside the dining table through different dividing lines.
