| DESIGN NAME: A Plot of Land PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The basement of the multi-layered residence has always been dark. Besides the problem of insufficient light, it is a priority issue for the case how to introduce the greenness to the indoor space. Due to the lack of light and landscape, we decide to separate the elevated layer of the construction by adding the mezzanine space and opening holes for outward extension (outwardly and upwardly) so as to introduce the natural light indoors. The newly-added mezzanine has become a transition space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Building a house in the secular: getting rid of the noise, living in the busy district but staying detached in the nature. A house by the mountains and rivers is rarely seen in the city. Stationed in the transient and changeable city center, a thought-provoking greenness is swaying vigorously. By changing the traditional thinking, we make the greenness not part of the outdoor scene any more.
