DESIGN NAME: 70s
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table
INSPIRATION: 70s was inspired by the age of 70s, its lines are inspired by a deconstruction of the table archetype, its legs are away from the corners and they are formed by smooth stripes that becomes arcs in order to better sustain the plan above.
70s is also inspired by cubism, the famous artistic movement that explore the fourth dimension, the time. In fact if you would like to discover 70s table you should turn around it.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 70s moved from seventies, a decade that was very innovative. It has the typical shapes of this years, not only a shape but a study of the static of their elements, see the arcs that sustain the plane.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 70s is a new table concept it is very light and it reminds to user a shape of seventies, because it was conceived from the typical seventies shape.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: 70s project was born in 2012 but it was prototype in 2014, it was exposed on a private event in Lugano Switzerland called La vita, il tempo vissuti come Arte: arte e design a 360
Then 70s was selected in 2015 to partecipate on the Hotel Nhow Milano for the Design Event called MAD

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The 70s table prototype was made of various type of wood, MDF for the plane, bend wood and soft wood for legs.
The 70s production is made of Adamantx a special material that has some mixed polymerics materials

260 cm lenght 110 cm width 75 cm high or
180 cm lenght 70 cm width 75 cm high

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Thinking about seventies, what do you think about it ? The project moves from the seventies shape and the deconstruction of the table archetype. Thinking about Cubism and you'll find some element that reminds you to this art period, when the fourth dimension enters in the project.
CHALLENGE: As usual the hardest part of this project was to find a company that trust you and create the prototype.
