| DESIGN NAME: Tracker PRIMARY FUNCTION: Location Phone INSPIRATION: This little tracker is like a small size of GPS position device and it is easy to use and carry around. With precise GPS positioning system, it supports one-button dial-up and fast call, and super long battery standby. This allows it to keep track of the position and direction of children and elderly. Tracker can even provide precise positioning for pets and luggage. High-frequency tracking mode sends out location information at 20 seconds per time. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the increasingly rapid pace of modern life, a majority of parents have no time to pick up their children to and from school. And the aggravation of aging society also gives rise to more and more elderly people living alone who are likely to have accidents when they go out alone. When accidents happen, it is vital to know where they are. The design is inspired by Chinese knot from ancient China and it is a symbol of ancient people’s desire for good luck and safety, which echos the function of the product itself. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. Long press for recording, press start to record, let go and stop recording, and send the recording to the background. If press recording button for over 10s, it will send automatically. 2. Press the button twice for alarm. If the user presses the button many times, it means this is urgent, and the event is reported twice every time. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Shenzhen in May 2018 and finished in Shenzhen in January 2019. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Digital and Electronic Device Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main body of the product is injection molded, the surface of the rear housing is treated by as-mold pattern and soft texture to enrich the product’s appearance and touch, and the middle frame is treated by high-glossy of gradient color finish. In order to get better user experiences (hand feeling and abrasion resistance), the surface of the button is stainless steel and treated by PVD finish.
