| DESIGN NAME: Chubby Bird County PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Coffee Shop INSPIRATION: The brand "Chubby Bird" original concept is from the British national bird "Robin". According to legend, the British show special preference for them, when hear robins calling, people knows that spring has come! It’s also with the implication of "garden". So the designer uses a lot of floriculture and tints on the soft furnishing to set off the space atmosphere. A British ballad: "When the clock kicks at four everything in this world stops for tea." UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "Chubby Bird County" is not only a coffee shop, but also a composite of offices, select shops and furnishing space. The designer who studied abroad then returned from UK shares the coziness European life merge with the orthodox British afternoon tea and the local leisurely lifestyle among the interspace. Let everyone who comes to the store find the pace of soul here, while at the same time draw closer to the aesthetic vision of culture. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Shortly after opening the store, it fascinated many people's high regards for its unique modern British style. Whenever they step into, the warm and soft lights make people feel pleasant and contented without any thought of leaving. The designers successfully combine the space ambience with the brand image to create a multiple sites that integrates culture and aesthetics. Moreover, the function of the space is properly planned, so that the owners and visitors have great agility and convenience in use. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Dissimilar to the conventional impression of the storefronts, the designer moves the counter area backwards to engender a spectacle of British tea parlor. Concurrently, the design of ladders (mezzanine) leads people step into the garret imagery. Ingeniously using "symmetric windows and doors" to found a visually harmonious aesthetic. Go well with the antique furniture and the 1920s writing desk which was especially move back from UK, provide every visitor who stepped into here can be found in the mellow temperature of a retro furniture. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In response to the brand image of "Chubby Bird", Use grass-green for the elegant pattern wallpaper, Versailles bamboo rattan chairs and totemic tiles to present the spring garden ambience. With ink-colored marble table, golden window frames and lighting decorations, a touch of noble luxury is added to the fresh mood. "Green" is the main theme of the garden, full of vitality, also with Chinese classical flavor, while "gold" is a symbol of sumptuous, and the concise well-executed lines outline the modern European style. TAGS: Multifunctional space, British style, Symmetric element, No cubicle, Green RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Reading books to search for the classic European garden style. After deciding the model, the grass-green wallpaper and warm light came to my mind. To reproduce the old times glory, we bought a 1920s writing desk from UK. Hoping to provide a good feeling while visitors use it. CHALLENGE: The designer uses the long narrow spatial scale to divide the domain into two, one side as the office, the lavatory and the booth area, the other side as the display area, counter and dining space. In order to achieve spatial interflow and visual penetration, there is no cubicle, instead by lightings, home accessories and different material splicing of the floor (wood and stone) to distinguish function attributes.
