| DESIGN NAME: Red Star PRIMARY FUNCTION: Yacht Interior INSPIRATION: The design inspiration comes from Zhuangzi's "Easy Travel". Xiaoyaoyou is one of the representative works of Zhuangzi. It is full of fantastic imagination and romantic color. It advocates the ideal of Xiaoyaoyaodao and Kunpeng's traveling in heaven and earth, and transforms it into the spirit of Oriental Artistic Conception. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The 92m long and 15m wide super yacht "Red Star" is a luxury yacht commissioned by CIMC's Foster Plaid yacht. The new concept design "Red Star" is the first Chinese design company to participate in the design of the super yacht above 75m in the world. Its results are on display at Monaco Yacht Show in 2018. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The interior design of a yacht needs to be considered in conjunction with its curved surface, space modeling, metal structure, assembled decoration and long-term life at sea. Therefore, in the manifestation of spatial structure, the combination of straight lines and curves is adopted. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Starting with the modern oriental style and the guiding ideology of oriental realm, the project design creates a sense of magnificence full of vitality, so that people can still feel the richness of material life in the ocean far away from the earthly life. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Total area: 1530 square meters Overall Length: 92 m Overall Beam: 15 m Finishing Height: highest 2.48 m, lowest 2.15 m TAGS: Luxury, Yacht, Superyacht, Megayacht, Yacht Interior RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Unlike residential buildings with fixed ground, the first time a yacht project is designed, and a new field is exposed. The lack of knowledge about yachts is the biggest challenge. At the beginning, it took a long time to understand, collect and analyze the matters needing attention in ship decoration design. The confirmation and positioning of design concept also went through a lot of setbacks. Although the progress was delayed and the effect was readjusted, the case was finally completed smoothly with the support of all colleagues. CHALLENGE: It is necessary to determine hull structure, enclosure location, usable or altered areas and structures, and low ceiling height utilization. The design of floors, ceiling and walls should consider the feasibility of future processing and on-site assembly. Because of the simplification of moulding, the level of moulding and material and the way of closing should be considered. Large area window opening of hull should consider the use of external landscape and viewing angle, height. Consideration should be given to the shaking and vibration caused by the ship's movement.
