| DESIGN NAME: OSSO PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dining Table INSPIRATION: are you ready for a journey into the mysterious world of wood? the wood, which has provided a warm home environment for humanity for hundreds of years, now decorates our homes. gizz, with its nature compatible concept, revives your homes by endowing the wood with a new soul. with our unique models, in which modern techniques are used together with winds from the past, wooden tools which are coated with resin and Vbring an utterly different soul to your lifespace from kitchen to accessories. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: osso table is from nature and modern industrial materials. It was mixed history and today. we use more than 500 years old walnut and today technologies high quality resin. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: while experiencing the serenity of centruies on the chair you sit, you will said to that poetic euphoria in the curls of the wood with a osso table on which you dine. the osso as made in ankara, turkey with walnut wood. the wood is kilned and dried prior to being filled with high quality resin. the edges are rounded to perfection and have copper colored aluminium legs. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project started in may 2016 in ankara and finished in december 2016 in ankara, and was exhibited in imob istanbul in january 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: table top make from walnut and resin. we use the cnc machines for the round edges. the base from aluminium sand casting and each base is 26 kg aluminium. base; after clean off covered with rose gold. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: width 2500 x depth 1100 x height 750 mm each parts make mdf create for transport TAGS: gizz, osso, contemporary, wood, resın, diningtable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: internet search, wood processing technics, metal casting details CHALLENGE: the challenge was to find the right invisible connection between the table legs and the tabletop so that the tabletop appears suspended. also extra hard thing from aluminium sand casted base not connect easly match with table top. need to solved this problem used extra walnut pieces between top and base. connection part hide inside to table top.
