| DESIGN NAME: Brother Fortune Villa T Fourplex PRIMARY FUNCTION: Showflat INSPIRATION: Borrowing the concept of the movie, the great Gatsby, this design aims to create a universe of ineffable gaudiness, the obsessive desire that Gatsby kept since he is young, through the use of materials. The aspiration and idealism at the young age serve as the source of strength to express a strong curiosity and an exuberant positive attitude towards life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located in one of the major city of Inner Mongolia with one of the largest urban natural park in China just across the adjacent road. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The most important color imagery in the novel is the green light which is the symbol for Daisy in Gatsby dreams. With it as the beacon of his life, he feels that realization of hope is imminent, however the twinkling light resembles and indicates a vague and illusionary fantasy beyond his reach. As for the wall surface and the ceiling, metal decorative lines and geometries are extensively utilized to create a sense of vitality of the industrial age as well as the state of motion, as if everything in the space is developing, growing and spreading. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Bright colors with a strong decorative purpose are applied to depict the richness and magnificence of the times. For the furnishing, the combination of two strongly contrasting colors, black and gold, like the feast of the king, are applied to show the aggressiveness of a leader of its era. The combination of gold and green is employed since the gold color not only symbolizes dignity and power but also precisely extracts the metal texture element in the industrial age while the green color serves as the epitome of the wonderful illusion in the novel The Great Gatsby. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Total area: 246.5 square meters Height: highest 4.84 m, lowest 2 m TAGS: Luxury, Design, Interior Design, Classical, Formal, Clubhouse, Sales Presentation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: By adopting the Art Decoo artistic technique, the space fully embodies the technological beauty of the industrial age as well as the fluency and smoothness of jazz style, all of which contribute to an exquisite, luxurious, exuberant and confident impression. Following the pyramid element extracted from New York Empire State Building, a representative of Art Deco style, a large number of symmetrical and concise geometric forms, radiant and divergent patterns, streamlined lines and overlapping genres with angles are employed to bring visual impact to the space. CHALLENGE: The original structure drawings are three stories into the house, fire stairs are only to the third floor, while the four stories are bedroom space. Considering that the total height of the four floors is 5.19 meters, the height of the bedroom is a waste, and if the space above the four floors is sealed up as an attic, the height of the attic is only about 2 meters, which can not achieve a reasonable use function. In view of the above factors, the living space of living room and dining room should be adjusted to the fourth floor in the design, so that the four-floor elevation space can be fully utilized.
