| DESIGN NAME: Unique Wood-themed Residence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: This is a spatial planning project for a mansion. Consisting of 3 floors, the spatial planning of the building’s first floor demonstrates an unconventional, organic approach, with the common areas such as the living room, kitchen/dining room and tea room located in the center of the space, while the master and secondary bedrooms are situated on either side. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The vestibule is adored by several wooden carvings and driftwood decoration to portray the simple, solemn image of the entrance. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Tatami and Japanese-style room design were employed for the loft, creating an exquisite spatial vibe that is complemented by the wooden sliding door and meticulous decorations. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The free-flowing characteristic of the space extends the line of sight, while the dark faux antique marble flooring extends to the living and dining room to highlight the poised demeanor. Unadorned wooden chairs are used instead of a sofa, creating a simple, refreshing arrangement, together with windows on three sides, minimal artificial lighting is applied to the interior. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 413 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential ,House,Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: On the right side of the vestibule, the solid wood table platform forms part of the Japanese tea room, where rich-colored wooden table and chairs blend in with the teak floor, while the Japanese window lattice and wooden beams surround the traditional fireplace. The refined tea room emanates a sense of Japanese nostalgia. The open kitchen and dining area is equipped with a wooden structure on the ceiling complemented by the industrial feel of the grey countertop and walls. The kitchen island design emphasizes fluidity, while the roundtable softens the straight lines of the room. In the common area, the diverse appearances of wood are applied to illustrate the subtle qualities and nuances of understated colors. CHALLENGE: The master bedroom features 3 types of wood materials. The grey walls introduce stability, while the attic is built into the elevated ceiling design. Ingenious attention to detail is manifested in every nook and cranny of the space.
