| DESIGN NAME: Elegant & Quality Residence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: This residential planning design project features excellent natural lighting performance, and with the user being a female, the design is set out with bright spatial tone and light colors as the main theme. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In response to the female house owner’s needs towards living space, one of the rooms is renovated to become the master bedroom with a dressing room. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The dining room in the center of the indoor area, while the remaining space adopted radiating arrangement to form a circular smooth circulation, with the private area in the back, maintaining spatial separation and distinctive dynamic and static spaces. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in Jan. 2018 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This residential planning design project features excellent natural lighting performance, and with the user being a female, the design is set out with bright spatial tone and light colors as the main theme. In response to the female house owner’s needs towards living space, one of the rooms is renovated to become the master bedroom with a dressing room. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 198 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential ,House,Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The foyer by the entrance deliberately compressed the height of the ceiling, and adopted the same wood pattern as the shoe cabinet to strengthen the foyer image, while dark colors are applied to reinforce the contrast with the bright and lively atmosphere of the open-style public area. Upon entering the indoor space, the colorful drum light and the digital arrangement of the word from the name of the owner “Sparrow” in Hinoki on the rear wall became the first visual end-view behind the dining table. The kitchen on the left applied integrated lighting and white countertop as well as dark-colored cabinet, where the semi-open design is elegant and features profound quality. CHALLENGE: The living room on the right uses simple concept to emphasize the transparency of the space, the television wall is composed of slant-cut marble which goes all the way to the floor, forming well-executed and quality main visual effect; the overall gradated combination of white, grey and dark grey together with the lower part of the sofa back wall being surrounded by Hinoki creates a highlight amongst the low color saturation, while the scent of the Hinoki allows the public area to be filled with natural fragrance. The cutting design method is continued in several indoor places to accomplish consistency of design method.
