| DESIGN NAME: Petin PRIMARY FUNCTION: Canine Paws Cleaner INSPIRATION: Struggling with dirty paws for years. Just looking for something in the house that do a bit more than just a paw plunger. These days with limited time and busy life we really need something that gives us more options, in a comfortable way to have something beyond imagination in cleansing paws. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Everyday Muddy Paw Solution designed for you and your lovely dog in mind. Petin cleans your dogs paws quickly, reducing indoor mess and floor stains, and preventing paw irritation from contaminates. Petin is designed to eliminate all that hassle, mess and stress for man’s best friend. No more struggling with your pup in the sink. No need to risk an entire soaking with the hose. It is a tool for all seasons. spring, summer, fall and of course, winter where ice and snow melting chemicals can burn and sting delicate paws. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Petin can be located in any house entrance, Garage or basement. Automatic entry door will be opened to let the dog in. Once your dog is in the correct position, the entry door will be closed automatically Then sprays, side and bottom brushes performing a specific function, such as applying soap or rinsing, with each pass and bristles wash away the dirt. After the paws and legs are completely washed, the final step in the automated process is the dryer. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2018 and was completed in February 2019 in USA |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Petin is made out of bent aluminum sheet finished with three anodized colors. The inner part is injection mold plastic. The device itself main body is made out of limited edition models and plastic for economy models. Also, gentle and effective silicone bristles, help remove dirt and mud from dogs paws and legs and doesn't injure the pet's paws in the process. It is just a concept design and we look forward to finding a proper way for production. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Exact sizes are not shown to the public yet but this device is designed for three sizes dog, Medium, Large and Extra Large. The device for extra large dogs dimensions has 70 cm height, 54 cm width, and 90 cm length. TAGS: Dog, Cleaner, Paw, Indoor, Automatic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The leading aspect was to find the best way of cleaning the dirty paws in the most comfortable way, save time and make life easier with the automatic canine paws cleaner. We believe that a dog should have the run of the house but not run the house. With that in mind, we came up with the idea of an easy, safe quick way to clean paws before those prints became part of the decor. CHALLENGE: The most challenging part of this design was finding the appropriate size charts with concern to a variety of dog breeds and use these measurements in our design process in order to achieve a design which is functional, robust and comfortable for dogs and humans to use.
