DESIGN NAME: Lumin
PRIMARY FUNCTION: A Table Lamp
INSPIRATION: Innovation is always finds the completely new level and way of visual perception. The idea of the project took its beginning from the concept of simplicity which is created by the use of modern technologies and ordinary objects and part for resale as complex designed multifunctional lamp with possibility to operate in three axis is created by the use of principle of minimal design making it easy and good looking object, being at the same time functional, aesthetically pleased and sleek.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The challenge of creating such a simple product which could reflect the possibility of modern technologies with collaboration of complexity production process for an outstanding result and good looking object with a clear function. The company was exited to research the combinations of materials in terms of providing it the best fit and cooperation between them. High-end finishing of semi-gloss metal from one side and bright reflection from another create stunning overall design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project is great for a professional work on the desk by its ultimate quality of production and multi-axis rotation which covers nearly 360 degree surrounding by the use of 36 LED outputs the intensity of which is addaptive by the simple use of touch sensors. Magnetic system allows to freely rotate the lamp and hold position easily in quick manner. The system works perfectly without disturbing by its sound.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2018 in Moscow and finished in December 2018. There we previously created the draft concepts and sketches but technologies seems not to allow its realisation in time. Afterwards of several discussions with manufactures and a few prototypes making the final product has been realised.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The overall design is made on CNC machinery via use of stainless steel pipes. The connection were made with extraordinary precise for achieving the best possible results, smooth rotations, heaviness of the product itself and add-on price. Easy to build thanks to its magnetic principle makes product easy and pleasant to use. The design has the hidden connection which makes it interesting for perception.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product dimensions in working mode is 500 mm x 400 mm x 75 mm. The use of tiny dimensions pipes allows to prevent the overweight in product making its heavy and strong enough for safe use. LED lifting is adjustable both in density and color gamma correction from warm to cold white. The light module could be replaced by RGB system to achieve a new horizon of creativity. The holdings allow to transport the product thanks to its minimal parametres.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The are thousands of simple and extraordinary types of table lamps. And the main task was to find the way of creating such product which has never been existed. The overall design was found thanks to the urban life, so simple shape of a pipe with minimal design and added function became a final product. For that purpose the great attention was provided on a stage of production.
CHALLENGE: Thanks to the modern technologies it was difficult to find the way of production and design principle which could look as something new and outstanding by its informal design looking. Creating the new piece of Lamp is always as creation of the new chair or bicycle nearly impossible. So the main challenge was to create not a piece of art, but functional product with its advantages.
