| DESIGN NAME: Hive City Sales Center PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: The project is a future new city complex with school, hospital, shopping mall, residence and many other functions in the future. It has complete structure which is just like a hive city. Thus，sticking to the characteristics of multi function, aggregation and precision, designer hope to finish this design with the concept of hive city. In obedience to the human oriented design concept, use blend beauty of ecology, beauty of art and beauty of architecture into the design. And also apply some creation by approach of modern geometry and sense of future. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is sales office of a large and multifunctional city complex with residence, shopping mall, etc. The project is very large and the development is divided into 8 phases taking about 10 years, which is just like building a small town. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project is a future new city complex with school, hospital, shopping mall, residence and many other functions in the future. It has complete structure which is just like a hive city.The hive structure itself is a very stable and very robust structure. We extract the stable structure of the hive, transform and artistically make the hive element an important part of the ceiling, thus highlighting the beautiful expectations of the project. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It is finished in Changsha, China in 2017. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Beauty of Ecology:Hive Structure Design of this case applies a hive structure on the ceiling as theme and a visual highlight of the space together with the lighting. Different shapes and heights on the hive structure highlights different layers of the ceiling and adds rhythms to the space. Beauty of Architecture:Time Tunnel The white geometry stairs to 2nd floor is elegant and full of sense of design. In the connection of handrail and steps，the angular geometry shapes and materials with light and shadow are applied by architectural design approach, which forms the beauty of dimensional structure. This not only puts beauty of architecture into interior space, but also forms the visual effects of time tunnel. Beauty of Art:Future Technology The whole interior space is infused with geometry elements to deliver the geometrical beauty of art and to show scientific and future sense by perfectly matching with LED light. This also represents the combination of future new city concept with science, technology and sense of art. The design also shows the modern art design fashion. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project has 1592 Square meter TAGS: Hive，light，Hive Structure,Time Tunnel, Future Technology RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We hope to apply hive structure in the interior space and combines it with ceiling and lighting. The hive concept is also reflected in detail treatments.In order to present the hive structure in interior space, we create the hive design with clear layers through 3D simulation technology. CHALLENGE: Designer want to apply honeycomb structures in indoor spaces. So analyzed the structure of the honeycomb and injected light into the honeycomb compartments to combine them with the ceiling and lighting to make it the lighting surface of the light. The concept of the hive is also reflected in the details.
