DESIGN NAME: Hongyanxi
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gold Tea Packaging
INSPIRATION: Through the investigation of the characteristics of Hongyanxi Gold Tea and its origin in Western Hunan, it is found that the local geographical location, culture, customs, lifestyle and so on make Gold Tea different from other kinds of tea. It's need to do is to retain this characteristic, and better display it in front of people through modern forms of expression, Let consumers understand the product while having a unique aesthetic experience.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The greatest feature of Hongyanxi Gold Tea package is that it can be applied to commerce while retaining the characteristics of ethnic minorities.Because the final feedback is to consumers, so it's more inclined to show the quality and local characteristics of tea, restore the feeling of healthy original ecology, without losing national flavor.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Western Hunan is a primitive and pure place in people's impression. Through the performance of regional characteristics, the precious quality of tea is highlighted. This packaging design focuses on its main visual pattern, which presents the characteristics of tea producing areas and the scene of ethnic minority girls picking tea, so that consumers can see the difference between it and other tea intuitively.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2018 in Changsha and finished in January 2019 in Changsha.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Ethnic minorities have always given people a very mysterious feeling. They have their own national culture, but seldom can be truly understood by the outside world. so it's more to show the quality and local characteristics of tea, restore the feeling of healthy original ecology, without losing national flavor. It can not only show the original ecological characteristics of Gold Tea, but also enable more people to understand the culture of ethnic minorities.
CHALLENGE: The most difficult part of the design is how to preserve the minority culture in Western Hunan while taking into account the commercial dissemination of products, because the minority culture itself is not well known, which requires a good grasp of the degree of integration of modern fashion design and minority.
