| DESIGN NAME: The Swimming Whale PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dessert Shop INSPIRATION: The indoor space, as the automatic circular door opening, shows to people the glowing white store, in which the golden fonts “L.Z. DESSART” imprinted on the front entrance signals that it is a dessert shop. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The elegant and fashionable facade, of the two-floor building, is embellished with mineral varnish walls as dazzling as the translucent pearls. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The stylish marble tables and slick wood table, which curls as if the sea waves, artistically feature the elegant swimming whale. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in Jul. 2018 in Taichung City, Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Alongside the entrance on the 1st floor, the display counter designed on the basis of the nautilus shell is embellished with the exquisite white marble stones and glorious glass display cabinet. One end of the display counter is joined to the wall. The delicate desserts, in the glass cabinet which is the focus of design, enchant as if the sophisticated craftsmanship. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 495 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, House, Space, Store, Commercial RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The display counter is on the 1st floor, where the partial space is decorated with the ravishing dining seats and table. The 2nd floor is entirely furnished with the dining area. Based on the concept of whale as the poet in the ocean, the design idea with proficient slick skills amazingly invents the fluid ambience in the rectangular indoor space, where exhibits the invigorating layouts and smooth traffic flows. CHALLENGE: The pure white display counter is so captivating, imaginatively paralleling the sunlight glaring at night, and telling the stories deep in the ocean. The gorgeous wooden ceiling, with the arc and sleek surfaces, is fancifully reminiscent of the whale’s blowing bubbles floating in the world filled with the visionary whiteness.
