| DESIGN NAME: Jade PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: While admiring the solid elements of nature, was created the Stones Collection, in which this Jade Chair participates. A contemporary line of products that reflect the harmony of the faceted surfaces of a precious stone. The design is allied to an extensive study of the production of it, involving laser cutting, folding, soldering, sanding, painting, polishing, almost every manual. Turning the furniture into the very jewel of the ambience! UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Jade chair, defined by its geometric and ultra contemporary lines, is a sure bet in the question of innovation and elegance. Different of any other chair designed or seen, it injects boldness into any decor with its shape that reminds of a gemstone, in which it was a real challenge to reach it! Thin carbon steel and excellent workmanship is what makes this product a real highlight winner! OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Besides the light, beautiful and modern look, the chair has high durability because it is made of carbon steel. In addition, there are several different and unique color options, such as copper, champagne and gold, which are being widely used in design currently. Highlighting whether in shape and color, it fits at any final use and any decor. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2015 in São Paulo and finished in August 2018 in São Paulo, and was exhibited in High Design Mobile and Design Exposition at São Paulo in August 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This product was made like a "origami". On scale 1/5 : cutting, folding, gluing paper again and again until reaching the perfect ergonomic plus beauty. 3D model made on computer too, was time do the 1:1 origami test, always on hard paper. After days designing, time to produce one sample on carbon steel 1:1 size. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In this collection, the chairs and armchairs present two options: NAKED option, in which the whole metallic structure becomes apparent, valuing the handcrafted work of folds and creases of the pieces. And de FULL option, where the chair is entirely upholstered, allowing a more cozy finish. Product dimensions: 650 x 500 x 800 TAGS: geometric chair, contemporary furniture, modern design, stones, high design, metal furniture, metal design, copper, gold, modern, contemporary, carbon steel, geometric RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The creation part was the most easy coming, came from the big passion to create, bring to the world new things and the dream of becoming a differentiated designer in the market. With the product designed, it was time to make the prototype, that's when the real challenge began! Because it is such a different product, it is necessary for high technology and good quality of workmanship, which here is very difficult to find, especially for artists who are starting. Several tests were done and in several different materials; wood, plastic, aluminum .. After years and almost giving up a dream, we arrived at the product we have today: thin carbon steel plate, laser cut, sanded, folded by specific machines, welded with precision, sanded again, polished, painted ... Dream came true and a whole line of furniture has been created. Hope you can appreciate, and see the passion for design and art in these products! CHALLENGE: The real question after doing this furniture was :" In what material will it be possible to do this?" Thinking of weight, ergonomics, cost, comfort .. and after several tests, the chosen one was the carbon steel! Now the hard part was QUALITY, because metal is not a easy material to work, specially the soldering. several months working until get the perfect quality!
