INSPIRATION: This digital campaign project is for Galeries Lafayette (Beijing) Spring/Summer 2016 Digital Lookbook on Chinese Wechat social platform. This mobile website innovatively integrates interaction and gamification into a digital fashion lookbook. It has broken the traditional lookbook of boring, one-way, paper-media feeling. The entire project integrated various digital interactive experience in one mobile website, including acquiring Galeries Lafayette's store coupon through competing the game and share it to the social network.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the five major popular trends as the creativity starting point, Galeries Lafayette creates the most fashionable digital lookbook for their new arrivals of 2016 spring and summer trend. It combined with different interactive experience, including winning the Galeries Lafayette coupons through interactive games and sharing it to social platform to exchange scores.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In order to Bring more fresh experience for users, on the basis of the primary scene design in accordance with five major fashion trends, we tried different man-machine interaction ways in each scene: eye-catching stripe-drag, new romanticism-click, city adventure-stir, urban languid style-shake of mobile phone and dynamic sports-flying fish game and the urban languid style also hidden bonus. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2016 in Beijing and finished in March 2016 in Beijing, and it was launched in March, 2016.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This project is an interactive fashion lookbook that presented as a mobile website. It can be viewed on mobile devices and spread on Wechat. This Kind of mobile site also can be called “H5”in China. (“H5” is an interactive platform that allows WeChat users to create interactive campaigns. This can include games, invites, animations, mobile shaking triggers and many other interactive platforms.)
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This mobile website is 750px*1334px, displayed on the screens of mobile devices. It can also be viewed and spread on Chinese Wechat social platform. The digital lookbook has presented five beautiful fashion trends (New romanticism, Modern safari, Stripes, Surf in California, Easy breezy) to young generation of GL customers in China on Wechat social media, it turns the look-book into a fun, playful, and interactive way of communication. For the trend of Surf in California, it creates the trend presentation into an avoid flying fish game with a real male model. Customers need to click different color buttons to make the real model avoid flying fishes in the game in order to win the vouchers of GL at the end.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We spent lots of time to figure out how to combine fashion, gamification and selling together to ensure our viewers can have different interactive experiences. Also the key visuals of this look-book must go well with the environment of Galeries Lafayette. We did various researches on user experience of games and fashion trends. We also went to mall to collect information and had conversation with people who worked there.
CHALLENGE: The challenge of this project is presenting five latest fashion trends with different interactive experiences and combining beauty and functions in one mobile website. Especially the game part of the last scene, we tried lots of different forms and we finally found a solution, which is integrating a rhythm game with the sporty surfing scene. We aimed to convey a dynamic and passionate atmosphere and encourage viewers to be a part of it.
