| DESIGN NAME: Artistic White PRIMARY FUNCTION: Retail INSPIRATION: The designer was inspired by the "herringbone roof" of Pingyao Ancient City Architecture in China. The case is an ancient building, the wall can not be opened, the designer uses a mirror to hide the narrow sense of space, and also extends the herringbone roof. Chinese painting pays attention to white space, and white space is the spirituality of life. As the sun flows, the light and shadow paint in space, making people feel the oriental mood of the space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located on the main street of Pingyao Ancient City in China. The ancient city maintains the architectural style of the original Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a window that promotes film culture and displays the dojo of movie products. The space is large and white, and the flow of light and shadow invisibly interacts with the film art. The "shadow" of Chinese movies and the "shadow" of light and shadow are the same word, and the spatial attributes and spatial expressions are skillfully combined. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The old diesel engine factory in the New China era was transformed into a place to promote film culture and display movie products. This is a show window for movies and the times, which gives space more fun and freedom. A lot of space left blank, let the focus return to the essence of film culture. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in August 2018 and was completed in October 2018 in Pingyao Ancient City, Shanxi Province, China. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Medium sand stainless steel, cement brick, ultra-white glass, graded matte paste, combined laminate SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project scale is 35 square meters TAGS: Ancient buildings, herringbone roof, light and shadow, white space, combination laminates, display, gradient RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Architecture is connected to the past, present and future. The white space creates a different oriental conception for the architectural space and brings new vitality. CHALLENGE: The project is located in the most complete ancient city in China, and it must not be destroyed while the ancient buildings are well integrated. Therefore, we use the new era to whiten the way and refine the architectural form, let people feel the blending of historical architecture and modern elements.
