| DESIGN NAME: Contiguity - Borderline PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The reception area, on the first floor, is embellished with the elegant wood grain floors and composed brick walls that develop the tranquil and warm atmosphere. The graceful furniture and chair, alongside the verdant arbor and green wall, impress people with the natural energies. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is the design plan for the two-storey office, in which the reception area is on the first floor, and the working area is on the second. Rather than proposing complex design ideas, the designer used the plain decoration materials and furniture, in addition to focusing on the indoor layouts, that skillfully contain the diverse styles in the same space, where is regulated effectively and efficiently as well. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The working area and staff lounge are on the second floor, where the working area, as the space center, is decorated with the woods and frosted glass that constitute the appealing plane. The working area furnished with the white polished tiles spawns the light LOFT ambience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in May. 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The extensive floor, at the entrance, reconciles the functional and visual features. The rear side reception area, adorned with the exquisite table and gray walls, manifests the austere aura. The folding screen, cordially concealing the office kitchen, and the undulating ceilings creatively spawn the air of natural landscapes. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 90 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Office, Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The island desks, meanwhile, delineate the traffic flows. In the peculiar staff lounge, the ancient treasure chest has become the coffee table. The blue wall surface diffuses the calm attraction. CHALLENGE: The antique Chinese arm chairs are reminiscent of oriental fantasies. The styles transitioning in divergent combinations surpass the borderlines of space identities.
