Pet Home Collection
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Luxury Furniture
INSPIRATION:
Design is a culture of living with pets. Each product arises from an inspiration, an emotion, from travel annotations, from the desire to create products dedicated to animal attitudes, and at the same time to satisfy the concept of beauty, and then to be expressed in a finished object via a the synthesis logic. The main inspirations are born from the natural world, that is reflected in the products names, as well as the historical-cultural references, indigenous cultures, the design of the 60s.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Pet Home Collection is an ergonomic line, made by Italian master craftsmen. It is particular for the degree of research, quality of design, and constructive natural materials that ensure exclusivity of every object. Solidity, function, and beauty are the relevant elements of each product. Every object of the collection has pleasing features for animal habits and instincts, and meets the aesthetic needs of interior design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The interactive ease between animal and object arouses unique emotions thanks to their intrinsic characteristics. The products have their own autonomy, so they easily fit different environments and styles of our homes.

Duration: Maniago from 2015 to 2017. Quality research comes from a careful selection of unique materials that emphasize the concept of each product. The products are made by Italian master craftsmen, where it is essential to take care of the work with particular attention to detail.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Twenty years of experience in the world of architecture and love for detail have lead the arch. Pierangelo Brandolisio to give life to new experiments. A continuous and constant research has allowed him to develop completely innovative products for the specific needs of our four-legged friends, based on the concept of ergonomics and beauty. A fundamental research tool is the constant observation of animal behavior, which comes from everyday life with the cat and the dog.
CHALLENGE:
When I started designing the Pet Home Collection, I set myself a specific goal: to work on building a reference brand of the european excellence. The greatest challange was to design objects with functional and aethetic values, not yet present in the market. BACO, that means Silkwarm, has certainly been a product that has imposed the greatest challange to trasform the beauty of nature into a peace of furniture.

Brandodesign is a spin off of an Italian architectural studio with headquarters in Maniago, Friuli Venezia Giulia. Brando creates objects dedicated to pet world, and have recently presented the new Pet Home Collection. The collection of luxury items is dedicated to welfare of dogs and cats, where the attention to details and the essence of lines define a unique style. Brandodesign was founded in 2015 from a careful reflection of the architect Pierangelo Brandolisio, who, facing his American Akita’s needs, got passionate about the unexplored world of pet design. Fascinated and sensitive to animals, evermore emotionally involved in the interaction between men and pets, the architect creates innovative interior decoration products with specific features for dogs and cats, where design is united with comfort, and adapted to the specific needs of our pets. Having always been linked to the region Friuli Venezia Giulia, an ancient land, rich of natural resources, including precious woods, he transforms these resources into exclusive interior decorations. The choice of materials is due to simplicity and naturalness of animal’s instincts in order to exalt the genuine quality of final product. The animal finds itself in harmony with natural materials. The products Brando are handmade in Italy. Love and dedication for craftsmanship are the synonyms of excellence and quality. The materials used include various wood essences as walnut, oak, fir, chestnut, elm, birch plywood, cor-ten steel, betacryl, plexiglass, woven wicker, stainless steel, cowhide and microfiber. All the items of the Pet Home Collection line born from the careful study of the behaviour of pets. Every item is created to make one’s pet feel safe and comfortable, facilitating natural interaction with man. This makes every item an ideal space for the rest of the animal, and, at the same time, to autonomous interior decoration of the home environment.
