| DESIGN NAME: American Life Style PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The house, of which design plan, is renovated to the American-style B&B. For the old layout with closed spaces in kitchen and walkway blocking sunlight UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design team overhauled the old study room and kitchen, and positioned the dining room as the central space to the L-like layout, the corner area for dining room and kitchen, that was laid out in sequence with the living room, working area and two bedrooms. The new B&B with the open living room and kitchen has abundant and delightful sunlight. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The kitchen, at the corner space, adjoins the dining room, where the wood dining table and blue wall surfaces, contrasting to the brick wall in the living room, spawn the delightful dining ambience. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The wood battens, connecting the floor and ceiling, are furnished alongside the entryway, where the linear features of decoration properly retain the degree of diaphaneity, and the wood ceiling subtly implies the traffic flows. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 82 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential,American Style RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The living room constructed without ceiling is augmented in height. The red brick wall adorned in the living room exposes the elegant impression. The glass and irons distinguishing the living and study room figuratively extend the visual scale and intensify light transmittance meanwhile. CHALLENGE: Considering the healthy and secured living quality for children, the design team attached the importance to creating a low formaldehyde house, in which the cabinets are extensively made of EGGER. The wear-resistant laminate table excellently reconcile the attributes of unique style, practicality and material safety.
