DESIGN NAME: Forest Village
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition Center
INSPIRATION: To demonstrate the aesthetic appeal of traditional craftsmanship in the local area, this project, the Exhibit Center, was dressed with large amount of rattan-waved materials both on the interior and exterior.
For untreated rattan materials we apply a thin coat of treatment oil and to do as many coats as possible, that provide a perfect finish preventing damage from direct sunlight exposure and moisture and other risks caused by the natural environment.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the historical districts and Qingshui Zushi Temple nearby, we want to recall the former glory and pass down the essence of the region, by developing this Exhibit Center.
Plenty of wooden grating fences and cane sliding doors provide soft and smooth touches, making the rooms warm and comfortable. Natural burlap lanterns and cane pendant lamps suspended from the ceiling show the beauty of workmanship and shine gentle lights.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project located in Sansia distinct of Taiwan was finished in June 2018.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: A large roof window and french windows bring in views and allow light to flood into the lobby and the reception rooms, giving a feeling of depth.

Gray and beige decorations with fine textures enrich the color planning of the space. In addition, black iron pipes complete the terminal views as a visual focus in modern style.
CHALLENGE: This project, the Exhibit Center, was dressed with large amount of natural rattan materials which is prone to damage from sunlight, rain and frost that would make it brittle or rotten.
